Make Shabbat and get-well cards to spread cheer to people in the hospital.

A Little Sunshine for Seniors for Cedar Village organized by Kindergarten
Captain: Pilar Samuel   Ages: 3+
Make cards and gifts for Cedar Village residents.

Creating Crayons for Crayons to Computers organized by 1st grade
Captain: Julie Jacobson-Ruby   Ages: 5+
Turn broken crayons into new, colorful crayons for teachers. Sort and assemble school supplies for teachers.

Snack and Craft Bags for Ronald McDonald House organized by 2nd grade
Captain: Rachelle Smith   Ages: 6+
Assemble snack bags and make crafts for families staying at Ronald McDonald House.

Toy and Treat Making for Four-Legged Friends for Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals organized by 3rd grade

Bake homemade dog treats and make homemade dog and cat toys for shelter animals.

Sweet Treats Decorating for Lighthouse Youth  Services  organized by 4th grade

Lunches with Love for Shelterhouse organized by 5th grade

Kids’ Personal Care Kits for UpSpring organized by 7th grade
Captain: Brett Schwartz  Ages: 10+
Assemble personal hygiene packets for homeless children to help them be more confident when they attend school.

Save a Life and Donate Blood for American Red Cross
Captains: Jeff and Sharon Casper and Bob Cohen

Hula Hoop Decorating for Circle Tail
Captain: Winnie Plymesser   Ages: 6+
Decorate hula hoops as gifts for school children who are training service dogs.

Turning Bags into Beds for Matthew 25 Ministries
Captains: Lizzie Birckhead and Becca Birckhead Ages: 12+  
Create sleeping mats for refugees and impoverished individuals using plastic grocery bags. We’ll teach you how to weave these waterproof, sturdy mats. No experience necessary.

  Knitz-vah Day for Mitzvah Day for Lighthouse Youth Services
  Captain: Natalie Wolf   Ages: 12+
 
  Join a group of knitters making blankets for homeless children. Some knitting experience preferred but not required.

Blankets for Babies for Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati
Captains: Patti Levine and Paige Levine   Ages: 10+
Make fleece blankets to go in welcome baskets for babies born with Down syndrome. No sewing skills needed.

Every Kid is a Superhero for Enchanted Makeovers
Captains: Maya Hirsch and Noam Hamdani   Ages: 6+
Create and design superhero capes for children living in homeless shelters.

Treat Trays for Shriners Hospital
Captains: Bill Tucker and Cassie Tucker   Ages: 6+
Create decorations, games, candy containers, and notes to go on meal trays of hospitalized children.

Challah Baking for Jewish Family Services and Heldman Food Pantry

Braid and bake challahs for Jewish Family Services Heldman Food Pantry clients

Cooking for Caracole and Halom House
Captain: Sisterhood (everyone welcome)
Prepare meals for residents and clients of Halom House (housing and care for adults with developmental disabilities) and Caracole (housing and care for people living with HIV/AIDS)

Hot Chocolate for Health for Team Ethan for Help Hope Live
Captains: Morrie Weiner and Shoshana Abes-Feldman
Warm yourself up with a purchase from our hot chocolate stand that supports Ethan Kadish’s on-going medical expenses.

Off-site Projects Organized by Synagogue Volunteers
If you are registering for an off-site project, we encourage you to make an appointment to donate blood prior to or during breakfast.

Handy Helping Hands for JCC Senior Center
Captain: Tom Borcher   Ages: 18+ (younger teens welcome if accompanied by an adult)
Provide light household chores in the homes of JCC senior citizens. You will find out what homes you are going to the week before.

Mitzvah Moving for St. Joseph Home - 10722 Wyscarver Rd, Cinti, OH 45241
Captain: Rob Festenstein   Ages:13+
Help pack and move rooms for people with developmental disabilities. This project helps the staff of St. Joseph Home as they prepare for an expansion and temporary housing.

Caring for Your Community for Interfaith Valley Resource Center - IVRC: 420 W. Wyoming Ave. Cinti, OH 45213
Captain: Perri Schenker   Ages: 13+
Help with office filing, sorting donated clothes, or painting office space in community resource center.

Painting with a Purpose for Talbert House - Talbert House: 2600 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati OH 45206
Captain: Mark Mayer   Ages:16+
 
Paint a room and install shelves to turn an office into a food and clothing pantry for clients needing housing support.

Save a Life CPR Course - 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Amberley Police Station: 7149 Ridge Rd, Cinti, OH 45237
Max volunteers: 7    **Register by Jan. 20**
Learn or refresh your CPR skills in this two-hour CPR course offered by the Amberley Police and Fire Department. You will be certified in CPR/AED/Choking.
