Our ancient rabbis knew as we do today, that significant opportunities require considerable preparation. They designated all of Elul, the month preceding Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, for such purposes. These High Holy Day classes are presented in the same spirit. It is hoped that they will enhance the meaning of the High Holy Days for us and deepen our personal experience of them. This is a unique opportunity to learn with Rabbi Wise.

The Rosh HaShanah class will focus on teshuvah (repentance, returning): what is it, how are we to do it, what are its challenges and rewards? The Yom Kippur class will focus on forgiveness: asking for it, granting it to others and to ourselves.
