This year's Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur classes will be dedicated to the spiritual-ethical (mussar) attribute/quality/trait (midah) of forgiveness.

Rabbi Wise will be discussing forgiveness bringing in biblical and rabbinic law, Midrash, hasidic and mystical  teachings and of course, mussar teachings.

Being the imperfect creatures we are, forgiveness sustains us without which our lives would be filled with hurt and anger, guilt and shame.

The High Holy Days are an extraordinary challenge and gift so that we can ask for forgiveness and grant forgiveness.

How can we expect to be forgiven by others if we are not prepared to forgive others?

How can we ask God to forgive us if we will not forgive others created in the divine image as we are?
